Shana update 1-31

Shana just called and said the company they are working for called them at 2 am and told them the plan. They are leaving in about 2 hours on a bus from the compound and heading for Cairo. They are planning on arriving there hopefully before the 3:00 pm curfew. They will then spend 1 to 2 nights on the company compound in Cairo, then fly out from the Cairo airport on a plan chartered by the company to Europe. The company will then set up tickets/flights for them to come home. She sounded cautiously optimistic, but very nervous about going into the heart of the problems in Cairo. She is not sure what the American service personnel will do at this time. She said they will keep the curtains closed on the bus and have an Egyptian driver, but is nervous getting through the villages to the main road. I asked if they will have any guards and she said no...

Hopefully we will have them home by the end of the week. I asked her to call if at all possible en route, communications in Cairo are still questionable at this time, but hopefully she can call from Europe.

All your responses, prayers, phone calls and good energy are deeply heartfelt and appreciated. I may never let them go anywhere after this! I will keep you updated as we hear more.
