I just talked with Shana and they are still on the military base. She said they've been told this is about as safe a place as anywhere in Egypt right now. She said they are still on alert and told to have bags packed and ready, however today (their Saturday) was much calmer since the police have gone off the streets and the military has gone on. She said the people like the military but hate the police so this has calmed down much of the tension. She was allowed a short call to let family know they are all fine. She said the boys have been jumpy and upset due to the situation, but she intends to go back to a 'regular' schedule tomorrow in hopes of calming them down (and herself as well!). She assured me that they have food and water to last several days, and all are just 'chilling' waiting for events to happen.
I will let folks know if anything changes.
